When exemption is enough
Choose exemption if your passport is on the MFA list, your stay fits the stamp you expect, and you are not looping entries to simulate residency.

- Exemption looping failed or you were denied at border
- You need multiple-entry tourism within visa validity

Extensions for both routes
Provincial Immigration may grant 30-day extensions on TM.7 for eligible stamps — not automatic. Bring passport photos, fee in cash, and sometimes TM.30.
