Last updated 21 August 2026
This policy explains what Foreigner's Thailand collects, why we collect it, and how to reach us. We keep the data we hold to a minimum.
Who we are
Foreigner's Thailand is an editorial information site. Contact: hello@foreigners-thailand.com.
What we collect
If you create an account we store your email, display name, password hash, optional avatar URL, and language preference. If you comment, bookmark, or keep reading history, those records are tied to your account. Newsletter subscribers give us an email address. Contact-form messages include the name, email, message, and any article URL you submit.
How we use it
We use this information to run the site: authentication, comments, saved articles, reading history, newsletters you opted into, and responding to messages you send us. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and similar storage
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. The optional app install (PWA) and push notifications use browser storage or a push subscription you choose to enable. See the Cookie Notice for detail.
Retention
Account data is kept while the account exists. Contact messages are kept so we can answer and track corrections. You can ask us to delete your account or a stored message by emailing hello@foreigners-thailand.com.
Your choices
You may request access to or deletion of personal data we hold about you, unsubscribe from the newsletter, and disable push notifications in your account or browser settings.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way we will update this page and the date at the top.
