Thailand replaced the paper TM.6 arrival card with the Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) for air passengers. You complete TDAC online before landing and present a QR code at immigration. TDAC is an entry declaration — not a visa, not TM.30, and not 90-day reporting.
Who must complete TDAC
Air arrivals — including visa-exempt tourists, TR holders, DTV, Non-Immigrant, and transit passengers as rules require. Each traveller typically files individually; families may need separate submissions depending on the form version.
How to complete TDAC
- 1
Open the official TDAC portal
Use the Immigration-linked site — avoid third-party copycat forms that charge fees.
- 2
Enter flight and passport details
Match passport exactly; typos slow the immigration lane.
- 3
Submit within the allowed window
Usually within 72 hours before arrival — confirm current instructions on the portal.
- 4
Save the QR code
Screenshot or PDF offline; airport Wi-Fi is unreliable at immigration halls.
- 5
Present at immigration
Officer scans QR, then stamps passport as usual.
Warning
TDAC does not replace a valid visa or exemption eligibility. It is declaration only.
TDAC vs TM.30 vs 90-day reporting
| Form | When | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| TDAC | Before air entry | Arrival declaration |
| TM.30 | After you move in | Address notification |
| TM.47 | Every 90 days (if required) | Periodic residence check-in |

Frequently asked questions
Do land borders use TDAC?
Implementation varies. Follow local signage at Cambodia, Laos, and Malaysia crossings.
Can someone else submit for me?
Enter your own passport data accurately. Family submissions depend on portal design — check instructions.
What if TDAC website is down?
Airlines and Immigration publish contingency steps — allow extra time and ask airline staff.
Is TDAC the same as Thai e-Visa?
No. e-Visa is pre-travel visa approval. TDAC is arrival declaration after you already hold permission to enter.
