About Us

Foreigner's Thailand publishes practical, sourced information for visitors and residents who need to get visas, housing, healthcare, and travel right.

What we are

We are a small editorial site, not a government office and not a large newsroom. We write the guides we wished existed when navigating Thai visas, tenancy, clinics, and inter-city travel — then we keep them current as rules change.

What we cover

  • Visa and immigration: tourist entry, extensions, and longer stays.
  • Living in Thailand: neighbourhoods, healthcare, banking, and daily logistics.
  • Travel: routes, seasons, and practical movement around the country.

How we update visa information

Immigration rules change. We date-stamp articles when we review them against official sources and embassy notices. A review date means we checked the piece; it does not mean the law cannot change the next day. Always confirm requirements with the relevant Thai embassy or Immigration Bureau before you act.

Corrections

If you find an error or something that looks out of date, use the contact form and include the article URL. We treat factual corrections as a priority.

Partnerships

We work with travel operators, media outlets, and service providers who share our editorial standards. We do not sell visa advice or placement in guides. If you represent an organisation that could collaborate — press, airport meet-and-assist, relocation services, or embassy-adjacent resources — see the partnership page.
